CRPP Hails Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah

2027: Enugu on Right Path Under Mbah, Says CRPP, Commends Agricultural Reforms

The Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), Enugu State Chapter, has said Enugu State is on the right development path under the leadership of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, praising the administration’s performance and particularly commending reforms in the agricultural sector.

In a press statement jointly signed by Chief Hon. Dr. Innocent Ezeoha, State Coordinator; Dr. Afam Ani, Chairman; and Barr. Ken Ikeh, Secretary, the coalition said the governor’s administration has recorded significant progress since assuming office in 2023.

“The Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), Enugu State Chapter, wishes to commend the administration of His Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for the outstanding progress achieved in the state since he assumed office in 2023,” the statement read.

The coalition also recalled its political support for Mbah in the 2023 election, noting that developments in the state have justified that decision.

“As a coalition committed to principled politics and democratic accountability, we are proud to remind the public that we formally adopted Governor Mbah as the standard-bearer of progressive governance in 2023. Today, looking back over his tenure, we have no regrets about that adoption,” the CRPP stated.

According to the coalition, the governor’s policies and reforms have produced tangible results that have positively impacted residents of the state.

“The governor has consistently demonstrated commitment to the good people of Enugu State through visionary policies, pragmatic reforms, and tangible dividends of democracy that have positively impacted lives across the state,” the statement said.

The CRPP added that the administration’s performance across several sectors reflects a governance style focused on results and accountability.

“The administration’s accomplishments across sectors—including education, healthcare, infrastructure, security, and economic development—reflect a leadership style grounded in results, innovation, and accountability,” the coalition said.

The group also hinted at the possibility of renewing its political support for the governor ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.

“We are confident that the governor’s track record will only strengthen public support, and we reiterate our intention to speak louder and more assertively ahead of 2027 to adopt him once again, should he seek to continue his transformative leadership for Enugu State,” the statement added.

The coalition particularly highlighted the performance of the Commissioner for Agriculture and Agro-Industrialization, Patrick Nwabueze Ubru, saying his initiatives have played a key role in revitalizing the state’s agricultural sector.

“Particularly noteworthy is the sterling work of some of the governor’s commissioners, such as Hon. Dr. Patrick Nwabueze Ubru, Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture and Agro-Industrialization,” the CRPP said.

The group said reforms and innovations introduced in the sector have boosted agribusiness development and strengthened food production in the state.

“The CRPP commends Commissioner Ubru for his innovative initiatives that have revitalized the agricultural sector, encouraged agro-industrial development, and empowered local farmers. His commitment to introducing modern farming techniques, supporting agribusiness, and fostering value addition in Enugu has contributed significantly to food security, job creation, and economic diversification in the state,” the statement read.

The coalition also commended the newly appointed Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Rural Development, C. O. C. Egumgb, for his peace-building efforts in communities that previously experienced divisions.

“We will also not fail to mention the new Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Rural Development, recently appointed, Barr. C. O. C. Egumgb, a man with an unquestionable track record, who is doing commendable work in restoring peace in various communities that were previously torn apart,” the statement noted.

Similarly, the coalition acknowledged the work of the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the State, Osinachi Nnajieze, citing positive changes within the ministry since his appointment.

“We equally acknowledge the Honourable Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the State, Barr. Osinachi Nnajieze, also recently appointed, for the ongoing transformation within the ministry since his assumption of office,” the CRPP said.

The coalition concluded by urging citizens and stakeholders to recognize and celebrate the achievements recorded under the current administration.

“The CRPP encourages all stakeholders, policymakers, and citizens to recognize and celebrate these achievements as clear evidence of the dividends of democracy under Governor Mbah’s administration. We reaffirm our unflinching support for this leadership and pledge to continue amplifying the successes of the government as Enugu State continues to thrive,” the statement added.
